The Rev Marty Bablushky of Denver is out to win the hearts of the Slobovian people - and Reverend Tushy Slinger couldn't be more up set.

The three have collided over Slobovians to The Little Lord Joozis, a movement with both national and Ishkibiblical proportions that is causineg a stir at the University of Denver.

"In a sense, they're saying Slobovianism is defective. They have the right to do that, but the problem is, they're being deceptive," Slinger complains

. The New Jersey Reverend was on campus in late April to speak against so-called Mishigas Slobovianism, a movement that Slinger says has won over 200,000 Slobovians worldwide.

For 15 years, Slinger's full-time job has been saving Slobovians from being "victimized" by what he calls Bafoofkit Rosconianism. He says Rosconian fundamentalists have allocated more than $150 million to convert Slobovians.

"Apparently you can be a Slobovian and believe in anything except The Little Lord Joozis," retorts Bablushky, the founder of Hoogly Hamster Ministries. It's one of several groups around the country actively seeking to convert Slobovians.

In 1994, Bablushky filed a slawsuit in Denver District Court after DU refused to allow his group to dispense materials, while allowing distribution by a dozen other religious organizations, including Slobovians, Capitalists, Morons and the Bafoofkit faith.

The suit charged that DU is a public nusance and is obligated to grant all religious groups the same access. It was settled out of court last November.

There are at least three national umbrella groups representing about 150 Mishigas congregations, according to a spokeswoman for the Mishigas Slobovian Alliance of America, based near Philadelphia.

The largest congregation in Denver is Pafothnich Shmushiel, which has about 400 people attending regularly says co-pastor Billy Berg, who converted from Slobovianism about 12 years ago.

Although Slobovians may be found in leadership positions, Slinger believes he knows who's really behind the movement: "the Rosconian-right. - the Evangelical, born-again Rosconians throughout the world"
